Do I need an account?
No. Download the app and start saving your spots.
Which phones does it work on?
iPhones with iOS 16 or later, and Android phones with Android 10 or later.
Is Hunting Points free?
Yes. Hunting Points is free to download and use. Premium is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that adds property lines, forecasts for the days ahead, past and future radar, 7-day river level history, KMZ/GPX import, more saved items and more offline map storage.
Maps and offline
Does it work without cell service?
Yes. Download offline maps before you go, and the app keeps tracking your location without a signal. Property lines need an internet connection.
Are the hunting maps free?
Yes. Satellite, terrain, topo and night maps and the 3D view are all free. Offline maps come with limited storage, and Premium adds more.
How much can I download for offline use?
The free app includes limited offline storage. Premium adds more storage for offline maps.
Locations, tracks and import
How many locations, tracks and areas can I save for free?
Up to 5 of each. Premium lets you save more than 5 locations, tracks and areas.
Can I navigate back to a saved spot?
Yes. GPS and the compass guide you back to any saved location.
Can I import waypoints from my GPS or another app?
Yes. With Premium you can import locations, tracks and areas from KMZ and GPX files, from GPS devices, other apps or other hunters.
Property lines
Where are property lines available?
In the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. Landowner names and addresses are available in the US and parts of Canada.
Are property lines free?
Property lines and landowner data are part of Premium, a monthly or yearly subscription. The rest of the free app works without it.
Can I see who owns a piece of land?
Yes, in the US and parts of Canada. Tap a parcel to see the owner's name and address, the acreage and other available parcel data.
Do property lines work offline?
No. Property lines need an internet connection. Offline maps and GPS keep working without a signal.
Can I rely on it as a legal boundary?
No. Parcel data may be incomplete or out of date and isn't a legal survey. Always confirm boundaries and get permission before you hunt private land.
Forecasts
Is the weather forecast free?
Today's forecast is free. Forecasts for the next 7 days are part of Premium.
Can I see the forecast for my hunting spot?
Yes. The forecast follows your GPS location, or you can enter coordinates or search for a city.
Does it show wind direction?
Yes, along with wind speed and gusts, hour by hour.
Is Rain Radar free?
The current radar is free. Past and future radar are part of Premium.
What does the radar show?
Where it's raining and how heavy the rain is, from light to extreme, right on the map.
Can I check the radar for my hunting spot?
Yes. Move the map to your spot or search for a place.
Is Hunt Activity free?
Today's forecast is free. Future days are part of Premium.
What does Hunt Activity show?
An hourly deer activity forecast from low to high, the major and minor feeding times, and the best hunting times of the day.
How is Hunt Activity different from Solunar?
Hunt Activity forecasts deer activity and feeding times, hour by hour. Solunar shows sun and moon times and the moon phase.
Is Solunar free?
Today's sun and moon times are free. Future days are part of Premium.
Which times does it show?
Sunrise, sunset and solar noon, moonrise and moonset, the moon phase, and the positions of the sun and moon.
River Data
Is River Data free?
Current water levels are free. The 7-day history is part of Premium.
How many river stations are covered?
More than 35,000 river stations worldwide.
Does every station show flood thresholds?
No. Flood thresholds appear where they're available for a station.
Can I see whether the river is rising?
Yes, with Premium. The 7-day history shows how the level has changed over the past week.
Trophy Room
Is Trophy Room free?
Yes. Trophy Room is part of the free app.
What can I save with each harvest?
Photos, the gear you used and the conditions on the day.
Can I share a harvest?
Yes. You can share a catch with your hunting buddies.
Premium and billing
How do I upgrade?
Upgrade in the app. You'll see the plans and prices for your country before you confirm.
Can I use the app before upgrading?
Yes. The free version is yours to use for as long as you like, and you can upgrade whenever you need more.
How do I cancel?
Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid being charged for the next one.
Can I restore Premium on a new phone?
Yes. Premium is tied to the Apple or Google account on your phone. On a new phone, sign in with the same account and tap Restore purchases in the app.
